Think Spring… and Acne

Spring is coming soon, and with that come all the fun events that accompany the spring and early summer seasons.

For families with kids in high school or junior high, this can mean some landmark events and achievements, such as prom and other dances, along with graduation.  This is also the time when acne can flare due to hormones, and the stress of taking exams and applying for college.

It is important to note, however, that although acne is thought of as an adolescent or teenage condition, it can continue to affect people into and throughout adulthood as well.

Many of us have a spring and summer schedule full of fun events, such as weddings, graduations or work-related events, and we all want to put our best face forward.  If over-the-counter products are not enough to improve your acne, it’s time to see a dermatologist.  An assessment by a board-certified dermatologist will lead to an anti-acne routine custom tailored to your specific needs.

the most important thing about acne treatment is to start early, with plenty of lead time before your event. There are various highly effective treatments, but the one thing they have in common is that they take time and consistent use to work.

Now is the perfect time to make an appointment so you can start on your way to clear skin and a more confident you!
